Destinations

Komodo Islands

Between Sumbawa and Flores, Komodo National Park spans a chain of rugged, volcanic islands shaped by heat, wind, and open sea. It is best known as the natural habitat of the Komodo dragon, still found here, moving freely across the terrain.

The region is also part of the Coral Triangle, with waters known for their marine biodiversity. Diving and snorkeling take place across reefs where strong currents bring life through the channels, while on land, trekking routes lead to elevated viewpoints across the islands. Pink-sand beaches and sheltered bays unfold along the route, offering moments of stillness against the more rugged terrain of the islands.

Destinations

Raja Ampat

Far to the east, Raja Ampat unfolds as a vast network of more than 1,500 islands — one of the most biologically rich marine regions on earth. Its remote setting and untouched landscapes create a sense of stillness, where towering limestone formations rise from clear waters and hidden lagoons remain largely undisturbed.

Days are shaped by what lies beneath the surface, with diving and snorkeling across vibrant reef systems where manta rays, reef sharks, and vast schools of fish move through the currents. Between time in the water, the journey slows — drifting through quiet anchorages, pausing along empty beaches, and taking in the rhythm of a place that feels entirely removed.

Destinations

Sumba

Further south, Sumba reveals a different rhythm — shaped as much by land as by sea. Rolling savannah hills, quiet coastlines, and wide open landscapes define the island, where traditional villages and ancestral homes remain closely tied to long-standing customs and daily life.

Time here moves between stillness at anchor and time ashore. Visits to local communities, hidden waterfalls, and stretches of untouched coastline offer a deeper connection to the island, where each moment feels unhurried and grounded, shaped by a way of life that has remained largely unchanged.

Trip
Raja Ampat

The trip was truly perfect. Of course Raja Ampat is absolutely beautiful, but what really made it one of the best trips of my life was the crew on the boat. Every single one of them was kind, attentive, and very good at what they do. I think a lot of that comes from Dolphin as their leader — he not only directs the team but also sets the example. Everything was very well organized, and even when we asked for changes to the itinerary, Dolphin always adjusted it without any problem. We felt safe and taken care of the entire time. I will definitely be telling my friends who love diving about our experience aboard Sanctuary.
